About FBCBC

Falam Baptist Church of Battle Creek belongs to our Lord Jesus Christ who is the Author and Finisher of our Salvation. God the Father breath it’s life and gave it birth into this world in December 26th, 2010 in Battle Creek, Michigan, USA. Initially, God called a tiny bond of devoted believers to start this church.  Since new numbers of believers were added daily to apostolic church (Act 2:47), the Holy Spirit has been bringing new believers in this church that makes us to see the rapid growing number of the church.

It is our understanding that no church can live by itself to “make disciple of all nations”. Thus, we started looking for partnership in the Lord’s ministry since the beginning of the Church.  In March 18th of 2011, the church became a full member of Chin Baptist Association of North America (CBANA).  To be able to carry out the great commission of Jesus Christ in a broader way, the church had made seeking to affiliate a local Baptist Association.  One year after several correspondences and documents were submitted, American Baptist Churches of Michigan officially recognized us as a fully accepted member of ABC, MI on October 06th, 2012 at ABC, MI Annual Meeting at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Flint, Michigan.

A flock of sheep without a shepherd is like a boat without a paddle in the sea. Thus, God brought Pastor Biak Lian Thang to serve Him at Falam Baptist Church after six months later of the church started. Pastor Thang began to process his ordination at AMC, MI. As a result of his one year hard working, the Ordination Commission found Pastor Thang meets professional standards and requirements for American Baptist recognized ordination, then, he was ordained on December 16th, 2012 by approval of an ordination council and a service of ordination by the Falam Baptist Church.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has recognized the exempt status of this church as a constituent of the American Baptist Churches, USA under its Group Tax Exemption Ruling issued pursuant to Section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
